1. Who we are
The Yachtie Registrations app and the website yachtieregistrations.com are operated by MAXLOC LTD (trading as Yachtie Registrations), Kafkasou 5, 2112 Nicosia, Cyprus ("Yachtie", "we"). You can reach us at info@yachtieregistrations.com.
2. What the app does
The app lets you compare yacht registration options, order a registration or related service (for example an MMSI radio licence, a change of ownership or a deletion certificate), upload the documents the registry needs, follow the progress of your case and message our team. Yachtie acts as your agent towards the flag registry: we prepare and submit the application on your behalf. The registration itself is granted by the authority of the flag state, which keeps the final say.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and give accurate, complete information. Keep your password confidential; everything done through your account is treated as done by you. You can delete your account from the Profile screen at any time.
4. Ordering and prices
Prices are shown in euro and, for information, converted into other currencies at the exchange rate of the website. The price you pay is the euro price at the time of checkout. All prices include our service fee and, where stated, the registry's fees and courier costs. Optional extras (for example express handling, company formation, apostille) are priced separately and shown before you pay. Payment is made on the secure checkout of yachtieregistrations.com by card (JCC) or by bank deposit. A bank-deposit order is held for 3 working days and cancelled if the deposit does not arrive.
5. What we need from you
A registration can only be completed with the documents listed for the chosen flag (identity, proof of ownership, boat specifications and so on). You are responsible for their accuracy and authenticity. Our team checks them for completeness and may ask for corrections through the app. Delays caused by missing or incorrect documents are not counted in the processing times we quote.
6. Processing times
Processing times shown in the app are typical durations, counted from the moment we hold all documents and the payment. They are estimates, not guarantees; registries can take longer.
7. Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel free of charge until we submit your application to the registry. After submission, registry fees and work already done are not refundable. If a registry rejects an application for reasons outside your control and no alternative is possible, we refund the amount not yet spent on fees. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
8. Your obligations as owner
Registering a vessel does not replace insurance, safety equipment, radio licences, crew qualifications, tax or VAT obligations, or the rules of the waters you sail in. These remain your responsibility. Nothing in the app is legal or tax advice.
9. Our liability
We work with care and in good faith. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect losses, for decisions of registries or authorities, or for delays caused by third parties (registries, couriers, banks).
10. Intellectual property
The app, its design, texts and images belong to Yachtie or its licensors. You may use them only to use our services.
11. Changes
We may update these terms; the current version is always available in the app. Changes apply to orders placed after they are published.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Disputes are brought before the courts of Nicosia, without prejudice to consumer rights that apply in your country of residence. Consumers in the EU may also use the online dispute resolution platform of the European Commission.
